New phase at McKinley Beach offers waterfront condos from $385K

Kelowna, BC – As Kelowna’s real estate market heats up, Acorn Communities is unfurling its plans for the Granite at McKinley Beach, panoramic lakeview townhomes and condominiums set to soon rise above the waterfront on Okanagan Lake.

The Granite, with its 122 residences, is part of the one-of-a-kind waterfront community at McKinley Beach, says Greg Bird, who is developing the multi-family site. The 2.1-hectare evaluated parcel stretches 60 feet above a kilometre of undisturbed beach within the Kelowna city limits and will feature both condominiums and townhomes.

“We’re focused on building communities where people love to live and never want to leave,” says Bird. “With the beach, marina and hiking trails through the integrated natural landscape, the community feels like a world unto itself.”

The homes at Granite will offer breathtaking views of Okanagan Lake with a panoramic 180-degree view of the water. While the design of the two condominium buildings is just underway, homes are expected to range from 1,100 to 2,000 sq. ft. starting at $370,000 with four penthouses up to $1 million. The first building will feature 64 units with a second 40-unit building planned.

Sales are now underway for the 18 townhomes and Acorn Communities will break ground at the site on Sunday. The side-by-side homes offer two and three-level balconies to enjoy the view from the waterside, and easy drive-in access from the street side. Floor plans range from 2,200 to 3,000 sq. ft. and are priced from $730,000 to $795,000.

“The unique topography of McKinley Mountain allows us to tuck theses townhomes right into the hillside, offering unique floor plans, outstanding views of Okanagan Lake and quick access to the beach below,” says Bird. “This is the Okanagan living we’ve been looking for and I‘ve already made plans to make my own home at the Granite. I’m excited to help my future neighbours build their Okanagan dream lifestyle.”

A beachfront clubhouse is planned and a 16-hectare vineyard offering wine tastings is slated for the development’s north hillside.
