About Dr. Philip A. White (1945-2015)
A highly regarded family physician and Chief of Staff at Kelowna General Hospital from 1983 to 2001, Dr. Philip White’s clinical practice span over 35 years. Founding chair of the BC Cancer Agency Family Practice Oncology Network, he served as its medical director and spearheaded the publication of cancer care guidelines, customized specifically for family physicians. A founding member of Scientific Advisory Council at SomaLife Consulting, he served as Vice President of the Canadian Longevity and Anti Aging Academy and in 2002, was granted a US patent for his propriety supplement for restoring human growth hormones. Born in Bristol in southern England, Dr. White received his medical degree from King’s College London and St. George’s Hospital Medical School in London. He emigrated to Canada in 1975.
